'RAČUNARI' - LATE 2N SS19

'RAČUNARI' - LATE 2N SS19

Waterford fashion house LATE 2N recently released their SS19 collection, titled ‘RAČUNARI’, inspired by a 1980’s Yugoslavian computer magazine. LATE 2N continue to push boundaries in the Irish scene, in both conceptually and through their unique designs.

Irish fashion house LATE 2N follows up its long awaited first women's collection, ‘FEEL LIKE THIS?’ (you can check out that collection here), with their offering for Spring/Summer 2019 entitled "RAČUNARI".

The collection is inspired from a year-long study into the Yugoslavian 1980's computer magazine of the same title. The controversial magazine mixed Yugoslav female models with the newest technology at the time to create semi erotic covers in order to appeal to Western society.

After obtaining full rights to the magazine’s history, LATE 2N created a graphic based on one of the girls which is splashed across a number of staple pieces such as a multi-coloured ribbed neck t-shirt, with ‘RAČUNARI’ emblazoned on the neckline, and two-tone hooded sweatshirt with the attention grabbing title placed across the pocket. The colours of pink & soft blue are used to mirror those used throughout the magazine in its early years.

These colourful items are brought together with a lightweight summer trouser that also doubles up as a pair of shorts, evoking the combination of style and function that has become a staple of modern fashion. These trousers include a new LATE 2N ring accessory which can be attached in various ways in order to allow the hanging of items such as keys, bags or chains.

The lookbook was shot entirely in house and the model is artist Lisa Chan (@dntfuckwme).

The full collection is now available for purchase exclusively via LATE2N.com
