SUBSET have taken Dublin by storm. Their murals have been popping up all over this kip, bringing a well needed dose of life and colour to the city streets. The artist collective are not just here to liven up public spaces, however. They want to make an impact.

Their latest showcase, Grey Area Exhibition II, is happening this Friday, October 26th. Tickets are €30. All profits are going to the ICHH. Community action is needed to deal with this homelessness crisis and SUBSET are aiming to do just that. The goal is to raise €30,000.

In their own words:

Grey Area is a collaboration of multiple artists, with the aim to change the laws surrounding public art and to raise funds to support the efforts of Inner City Helping homeless @ichhdublin to combat homelessness in Ireland.

This Friday over 35 artists will exhibit 17ft high large-scale original murals over two floors at the Point Square Dublin. Located opposite the 3 Arena.

Tickets are €30.00 with all profits from ticket sales and project merchandise will be donated to ICHH.

Limited edition prints are available to ticket holders, free food and drinks by Rascals beer and each attendant will receive a limited edition once off 64-page Grey Area magazine. All complimented with live music and raffle prizes on the night.

9,874 people are homeless in Ireland. 3,824 of which are children and rapidly rising.

We aim to raise €30,000.00 on the night to support the efforts of ICHH as they combat our homelessness crisis. #greyareaproject

As you can tell, SUBSET mean business. This art form, large format public art pieces, and its associated exhibition are a breath of fresh culture into the sometimes stale urban environment of Dublin. Even better, the proceeds are going to the most important cause in Ireland in this current moment. The winter is coming soon and those left out on the cold streets need our help. Get down and support.

You can find tickets here, or over at subset.ie.

Check out SUBSET on the No Shame, discussing the homeless crisis.

For an idea of what to expect at the exhibition, have a gander at the galleries below. The first is a little stunt pulled last week on South William Street. The second is a taste of the murals, produced by some of the artists featuring at Grey Area II.
